A New Humanities Librarian

Humanities has a new librarian! Mark Szarko is joining the Humanities’ team as our Reference and Instruction Librarian. Mark comes to us from the University of Washington, Bothell where he has worked as Humanities Reference and Instruction Librarian since 2001. Mark has an M.S. in Library and Information Science and an M.A. in English, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has considerable teaching experience as well as an interesting background as a playwright and director. Mark’s first day is Monday, July 17. His e-mail is szarko@mit.edu.
